Meet the Crew

Pierpaolo Buzza - Artistic Director
His main character traits are music from the 90s, chocolate cake and Halloween imagery.
He holds the belief that ever since Bojack Horseman exists, nothing else needs to be said in the history of narrative. Still: much more of a movie guy than a series guy.
Voice messages on Whatsapp >>> Calls.
He has a portrait in the attic that gets old in his place, and writes about himself in third person. But enough talking about me. How are you doing?
-

András Meijer - Executive Coordinator
András saw an improv related thing, so he jumped to volunteer. Improv is good. More improv, even better.
When he is not doing improv he fills that void with 80s music since it is objectively the best thing that has ever been created besides improv. And yes, he only says that in order to argue with those who believe otherwise.
He enjoys fixing other people's stuff that's broken, including umbrellas, laptops and opinions.
Half of the time he fails, but he always learns something cool along the way. -

Margherita - Bookings & Props
As her name suggests, Margherita loves flowers and pizza. She's like a duck swimming in a lake - apparently calm but below the surface always running and doing a million things. She joined the BruShu25 Task Force as she enjoyed the previous edition so much that she is keen on offering this year's participants an equally amazing experience 🚀 also, she was promised cake.
-

Romeo de Bellefroid - idea machine 💡
Three facts about Romeo: he will monologue about Cole Wehrle the way normal people talk about the weather, he thinks “governance reform“ is a fun party topic, and his labrador is auditioning for largest lapdog in Brussels. Everything else is improv, really. If you need him, he’s probably busy designing board games, or pouring something smokey as the barman in our Underworld Noir bar.
-

Adua Dalla Costa - Stage Manager
Adua is one of those rare Italians who will never make a fuss about anyone putting pinapple on pizza. She just doesn't care. She prefers spending her energy going to more dance classes, planning more karaoke sessions or just lying down in the parc soaking up the sun and watching Friends for the 23rd time (pretty sure this is close to the real number).
-

Peppe - Bookings
Peppe stumbled upon improv the day he realized that making things up was actually a skill, not just a bad habit. For him, improv is both playground and therapy: a place where failing gloriously is basically winning. Off stage, he drowns in data and reports, trying (unsuccessfully) to make them sexy. His life, like any longform, makes sense in the end...or at least gets a laugh along the way.
-

Amar van Duijneveldt - Graphic Design
Amar is information manager by day and the BruShu's entire design department by night: logo’s, website, flyers, photos, the lot. She has told Romeo multiple times that nobody will understand the Cole Wehrle reference in his bio, but hasn’t managed to convince him yet. Maple sides with whoever has treats. In the meantime, she’ll make sure everything looks good, works, and starts on time.
-

Mario Scalzo - Props
Real-life improveser lover. What else?
-

Simone Ellul - Simoneship
Simone started out as a serious, classically-trained actress and director. However, she then discovered how much fun the improvisers next door were having, so she knocked at the door and now refuses to leave! Her favourite type of improvisation is grounded, theatrical improvisation that digs deep into characters and relationships and explores the intimacy between them. When not on stage, she can be found… nowhere. What do you mean, when not on stage? What does that even mean? Life is a stage, there is no life without theatre (or drama!) in it.
-

Maple Syrup - Mascot
Maple’s mission is simple: steal hearts, ignore personal space. Petting him counts as audience participation.
