MAURA – Strings Of My Heart

You don't need a perfect voice to make an audience feel something.
The Strings Of My Heart is a workshop where theater, music and emotion come together. We will discover how songs can come out from a character's desire, fear and emotion.
The focus is not on vocal perfection, but on commitment: fully entering the character, embracing vulnerability, taking emotional risks and delivering something real .
You don't need the voice of Adele: you just need to let the strings of your heart vibrate.

LAUREN  – Start Strong
Create strong, confident openings that set scenes up for success.
We'll cover 6 different openings and work on initiating with clarity and confidence, avoiding vague or hesitant starts, and sustaining beyond into full scenes.

JAVI – 9.58’’

It is Usain Bolt's world record time in the 100-meter dash. How many things can happen in 9.58 seconds? In this ensemble performance for eight improvisers, we will discover how all those stories can intertwine as they move forward or backward along their respective timelines.

DAVID - The Bunch

Description: The Bunch are back together! After many years apart, a group of old friends gets together to catch up, share stories, laugh about the past, and, of course, spill some tea. But old friendships come with old memories, unresolved issues, and things that were never said. Expect inside jokes, awkward reunions, unexpected confrontations, and stories from the past coming back to life. One evening, one group of friends, and a lot to catch up on.

PIERPAOLO - Contact
Physical/eye contact, or lack thereof, can be a huge source of inspiration for scenes, and one that is often overlooked. When someone pats our shoulder, hugs us, looks at us or doesn’t, we feel something; and if we train ourselves to recognize it, this is a source of potentially endless inspiration for our character. We will shift from “what should my character do right now” to “what is my character really feeling right now”, turning the scene from an invention to a discovery. Note: for all exercises and during all games, we will assess and respect physical boundaries. No contact will be imposed.

LETICIA - The heart and art of Puppet-prov
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the dual arts of puppet making and puppet improv.
Participants will build both collaborative group puppets, as well as their own unique individual puppet.
Together we will dive into the basics of puppetry and the principles of bringing creatures and characters to life through breath, focus, and movement.
We will learn about different styles of puppetry traditions and techniques, such as Sock, Paper, Naked Hand, Human Sized/Body, Hand and Rod, Objects, and others.
And finally, we will discover how to seamlessly incorporate puppets into improv to unlock new comedic and narrative possibilities and elevate your improv skills.
Come ready to build, play, and perform!

MAURA – Shut The Fuck Up

Do you hear this voice everytime you are about to enter the stage? It's the inner judge, our best enemy, the saboteur of our happy improv. It makes us second guess our impulses, disconnect from our partners and lose the joy of playing.
This workshop is about recognizing this voice, stop the sabotage pattern and focus on the scene and our partners to rediscover the pleasure of improvising.

We'll cover characters & character consistency, time jumps & story progression, transitions & hosting/audience interactions.

JAVI – Press Start
Remember those legendary PC adventure games? Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, and so on? Well, in Press Start we improvise as the characters of an adventure game, putting ourselves at the service of the audience—the real players—to see if they can solve the mystery and complete the game within 60 minutes.

GIZEM  – Time Benders of Improv
This workshop explores the deliciously weird territory of non-linear improv, where time will jump, loop, rewind, reverse, invert and completely mess with our understanding of a linear story. By using formats like Detours and reverse La Ronde, we will bend time, break chronology, and discover how jumping through time can create surprises and powerful story reveals.

PIERPAOLO – Memorable Villlains [with a Horror twist]

Every good story contemplates a Shadow. Those characters we wouldn’t even grab coffee with… and yet somehow they fascinate us. What motivates them? What makes them scary? How do we let go of our own values, to embrace those of a criminal? In this workshop we will approach the techniques on how to interpret them credibly, and play memorable villains, with a strong Horror twist, because we will play a showcase at the Halloween Party, wearing our scary costumes.

BILLY - What a (Greek) tragedy!
Greek Tragedies keep inspiring us for centuries by teaching us about human nature and fragility. In this workshop I will guide you through the dramatic techniques of Greek tragedy, bold storytelling, heightened emotion and the power of the chorus. We will explore fate, hubris, and catharsis, summon the gods, and let the fates decide where the story leads! Let's embrace the tragic and the epic.

Lauren - Genre Lab
Build clear, compelling worlds by using genre as a storytelling engine. We’ll use 4 different genres to look at how this shapes behaviour, tone, and stakes.

GIZEM - Metaphors of Improv
What if our scene could mean more than it says? This workshop explores how metaphors can transform ordinary improv into rich, memorable storytelling. Through games, scene work and practical exercises full of metaphors, we will deepen our scenes without sacrificing groundedness or fun.

JAVI - No Form
In the case of No Form, you cannot talk about a predetermined format, as it is something that reveals itself over the course of each individual performance. The initial arrangement of elements—such as boxes, chairs, flashlights, and even the improvisers themselves—by the audience will serve to shape the performance scores through these "actants," allowing us to discover the formal structures of the show.

DAVID - Basics To Stagefight
Description: Ever wanted to punch someone on stage without actually punching them? In this workshop, we’ll play with the basics of stage fighting and learn how to make fights look big, dramatic, and believable while keeping each other safe. We’ll explore simple techniques, reactions, movement and choreography, and how to use them in an improv scene without overthinking it. No experience needed — just come ready to get physical, have fun, and maybe get punched (not really).

PIERPAOLO - Conflicts
A lot of scenes begin with conflict because it seems an easy thing to do, but it can lead to short-sighted scenes that have nowhere to go. This workshop offers a professional and transformative approach to crafting compelling conflict narratives. We will see the difference between fighting for and fighting against, status play, power dynamics, and how to disagree as characters while agreeing as performers. In this way, conflict will be a motor for story, rather than something that blocks it.

Music, played live on piano by Manuel, becomes the spark of every scene, the starting point for creating characters, emotions, environments, and stories.
Listen to the music. Dive into it. Allow the sound to trigger spontaneous choices, awaken your imagination, and gently take you outside your head.

LAUREN - Advanced Shortform
Come exercise those brain muscles to create GREAT shortform!
We'll play very challenging games, zoom in to what makes each game or game type tick, and hopefully have you laugh until you pee a little!

JAVI - Sitcom
In this workshop, we work on creating an improvised sitcom. Our goal is to make twenty-minute episodes using the classic structure of television stories.
The work is inspired by John Vorhaus's book The Comic Toolbox (comic characters, comic premise, the eyebrow rule, the aggravator...).
An important figure to keep in mind will be the studio floor manager, prompting the audience to react during the story (laughter, surprise, emotional moments, the entry of the famous star...).
Some key references are Friends, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory...

DAVID - Scene Objectives
Do you find yourself in middle of the scene thinking what comes next? Where does my character go now? In this workshop, I want to give you a scene tool to switch off your thinking brain, to follow and fight for the scene. Giving your character an objective will become their guiding light.

PIERPAOLO - Group Scenes
Improv isn’t just about two-people always in the spotlight. Scenes are also made alive by everyone around them: the other customers in the bar, the other animals in the forest, the other books on the shelf. These “backscene” characters give depth, color, and energy, yet often we’re tempted to step out of the action when we’re not the main focus. In this workshop we’ll see how do we play groups of four, six, or more characters, keeping clarity. We’ll practice finding, giving, and taking focus, moving fluidly between front and back, and making the space come alive together. We’ll discover how to listen, react, and perform internal transitions, all while making the stage picture come alive.

EMIL - I Don't Speak That Language: Connection Beyond Words
Play a scene in a language you don't know and still be the best scene partner in the room. A playful workshop on connecting across language barriers, where not understanding a word becomes your secret weapon for listening, reacting and truly playing together.

THE GATHERING

Six people who haven't seen each other in a while are getting ready for a gathering... what could possibly go wrong?
Some are excited to be there. Some will do their best to hide they're not. Some will have stuff to settle. They all have a history, and they all have their own version of what happened.
Old crushes, resentments, unexpected news, and things that were better left unsaid have a way of coming out.
A completely improvised evening of old stories, new revelations, complicated relationships and six people trying to make it through one gathering without making things worse.

Spoiler: things will get worse.
